Our Story
Shepherdstown sits where the Shenandoah meets the Potomac — a crossroads travelers have sought for centuries. The Cottage was raised in 1858, long before the town became home to Potomac State College, and it has welcomed generations of visitors ever since.
We restored it with care: original heart pine floors, generous windows framing sycamore and oak, and a porch that catches the evening breeze off the river. It is not a hotel. It is a home that opens its door to you.
